Finito!

December 18, 2009 by Julie

I did it!  I completed my last day of my job at NACHA.  I am proud of my accomplishments over the last year and ecstatic about the chance to dedicate my working hours to my writing.  One of my favorite Dr. Seuss quotes from Oh, The Places You’ll Go comes to mind (one that we have on a plaque in the kitchen):

“Today is your day!

Your Mountain (of laundry)* is waiting

So … get on your way.”

*I added the part about the laundry, but seriously, I haven’t folded laundry in two weeks. It’s an avalanche!

Instead of champagne, it turned out to be a celebration with pizza (no cooking!), red wine and a hot bubble bath.  Perfecto!

I won’t be blogging over the weekend because I have to write our Christmas letter and address the corresponding cards.  Definitely stop back by on Monday though, as I’ll be sharing some (hopefully amusing) memories of Christmas’ past.

Salud!
