Turns out I spent Earth Day paying homage to a most unearthly object:
And it’s not because I got a wild hair and started reliving my college days. No – instead it was the decidedly unglamorous stomach bug that’s been working its way through the family – first Jay, then me, now Em. Phil is unscathed so far.
I also used many gallons of water because the only way to soothe my aching muscles was to soak them in hot, hot water. So I did. Several times. So Earth Day didn’t have a whole lot of earthiness to it, but I am glad to be back in the land of the living. At least I didn’t miss too much in terms of weather. Here’s Rocky in the snow this morning. Yes, you read that correctly: snow. In late April.
The dreary day made for great conditions for a long cozy nap with Em this morning, though.
