One woman (wife, mother, writer, reader, runner, hiker, skier, cook, and so on…) who gave up a well-paying, flexible job in which she had built up substantial knowledge and goodwill in order to pursue a lifelong dream of writing for a living (no doubt making far less money).
I live in beautiful Boulder, CO with my husband of ten years, Phil. We have two amazing children. Our daughter (age 7, alias: Em) and our son (age 4, alias: Jay) are a constant source of inspiration and joy.
I blog about my writing struggles and successes, books I read, parenting, my family, my dog, my attempts to stay fit and healthy, places I travel, and just about anything else that piques my interest. Unfocused? Perhaps – but my goal is to get myself to write everyday about topics that matter to me rather than build a box around myself.
The picture on my header is one I took on a recent trip to Jackson Hole, WY, which is probably my favorite place in the world. My husband and I took our first vacation as a couple there, and from then on we knew we wanted to live in the Rocky Mountain West. Now here we are!
